Video Fair Use Policy

Videos are included in your Mortly plan with no minute limit. They're for putting your face in front of your borrowers, and this policy keeps them that way.

Fair use

  • Recording a video for a borrower on a fee sheet or loan options share
  • Re-recording as often as you like to get it right
  • Sending the share to the borrower, their agent, or anyone helping them decide

Not fair use

  • Posting a share link publicly (social media, websites, ads) to get views
  • Using videos to host content that isn't a personal introduction to a borrower
  • Sharing one Mortly login among several people

How long videos last

Each video is removed 90 days after it's recorded, since the numbers it walks through go stale. Record a fresh one anytime.

Usage guidelines

Nearly everyone stays far below the levels where we step in. If an account's recording goes far past normal, we'll contact you. If an account's videos are watched far past normal in a month, playback for that account pauses automatically and we'll contact you to sort it out. Recordings aren't deleted when this happens.

Who can see your videos

Your borrowers and your team. Mortly staff can also watch them to help with support and to check that videos are used as this policy describes. Staff views never show up as plays or activity.
